Operation Policy
Article 1. Purpose
LUMOS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') does its utmost to ensure that customers (hereinafter referred to as 'Members') can safely use LUMOS and all related services (hereinafter referred to as the 'Service'). Accordingly, to operate a sound service based on the Terms of Use, the Company restricts abnormal usage behavior and members, and hereby establishes and discloses the operational policy as follows.
Article 2. Definitions
① The definitions of terms used in this Operating Policy are as follows:
1. Services: Refers to LUMOS, the R&D business expense automation solution that includes document verification automation, APIs, and other related services provided by the Company through the Service Page.
2. Member: Refers to an individual or entity that accesses the Service Page, enters into a Use Agreement with the Company in accordance with the Terms of Service, and utilizes the services provided by the Company.
3. Free Trial: Refers to a service provided by the Company without charge, allowing the Member to experience the Paid Services for a set period before purchasing them.
4. Paid Services: Refers to the services provided by the Company that the Member can access upon paying a specified fee to the Company.
② Terms used in this Operating Policy that are not defined in Paragraph 1 shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations. Terms not defined under relevant laws and regulations shall follow general commercial practices.
Article 3. Types of Abnormal or Unauthorized Activity
① The types of abnormal or unauthorized activities prohibited by the Company are as follows:
Violation of Public Decency
Promoting criminal activity or posting obscene/pornographic text, images, videos, or other materials.
Posting text, images, videos, or other materials that express hate, promote violence, or are otherwise harmful or offensive.
Interference with Service Operations
Usurping, stealing, or fraudulently using another person's identity, information, or account credentials/passwords.
Providing false or misleading information that threatens to cause harm or loss to other members or applicants.
Repeatedly making and canceling payments without a valid reason, or exploiting free-trial offers.
Security Breach of Services
Exploiting known or unknown bugs to access or use the services.
Infringing on LUMOS's technology, intellectual property rights, trade secrets, portrait rights, or other proprietary rights; or using HTML, scripts, etc., in a manner that risks unauthorized data exposure or leakage.
Members identified as direct competitors accessing or using the services for purposes other than the R&D budget automation solution.
Violation of Terms of Service
Any and all activities prohibited under Article 24, Paragraph 1 of the Terms of Service.
② LUMOS reserves the sole authority to interpret the categories and activities outlined above.
③ Even if a specific action or category is not explicitly defined in these terms, it may still be deemed an abnormal or unauthorized activity if it threatens to cause harm to other members and applicants, or if it disrupts LUMOS's service operations and security.
④ If a member's actions violate applicable laws and regulations, they may be subject to civil and criminal penalties through referral to investigative agencies, in addition to any enforcement actions taken under these Operational Policies and Terms of Service.
Article 4. Sanctions for Abnormal Account Usage
① Depending on the frequency and severity of each violation, measures including warnings, account suspension, and domain or IP blocking may be enforced in accordance with LUMOS's internal policies.
② In the event of repeated abnormal usage, LUMOS may claim damages against the member pursuant to Article 25, Paragraph 2 of the Terms of Service.
③ Even if a specific violation is not explicitly categorized or defined in these guidelines, appropriate measures may still be taken if the action poses a risk of harm to other members or applicants, or disrupts LUMOS's service operations and security.
④ If a member's conduct violates current laws and regulations, civil or criminal liability may be pursued through referral to law enforcement, in addition to the administrative measures stipulated under the Operating Policy and Terms of Service.
⑤ For matters not explicitly covered in the Terms of Service, LUMOS may establish an Operating Policy to protect user interests and ensure stable service operations. LUMOS will communicate the details of the Operating Policy via the announcements board on the service website or user guide. Any amendments to the Operating Policy will also be announced in advance through the same channels. However, if the amendments significantly impact the rights or obligations of members, or if the revision has the same effect as amending the Terms of Service, they will be disclosed in accordance with Article 3, Paragraph 3.
Article 5. Measures and Procedures
① LUMOS manages and takes action against abnormal user activity and members in accordance with the following procedures:
Receipt
Receipt of reports from members and applicants, and real-time monitoring by LUMOS
Verification
Verification of the reported issue and the member's service usage history
Review
Review of whether the activity violates the Operating Policy and Terms of Service, followed by member notification
Appeal Processing
Receipt of appeals and determination of follow-up actions, such as revoking measures based on factual investigation
Enforcement
Execution of measures, including warnings, account suspension, or immediate account termination
Article 6. Reporting Unauthorized Activity
① If you detect any unauthorized or suspicious activity by another member, you can report it through the contact address below.

② The company requires up to 7 business days to review the submitted report and investigate the facts. However, this period may be extended depending on the progress of the investigation.
③ The company takes the utmost care to protect the identity and information of the member who submitted the report, ensuring complete confidentiality.
Article 7. Appeal Process
① If you object to any prior notifications, warnings, or measures received from the Company, you may submit an appeal through the contact point listed below.

② Once submitted, appeals cannot be modified or withdrawn.
③ Appeals received after the previously announced deadline may be rejected.
④ If the Member's appeal is determined not to interfere with the Company's service operations and does not pose a threat to any other rights, the Company may adjust or withdraw the measures taken.
⑤ If, during the Company's fact-finding process, the Member's appeal is determined to be unjustified, the appeal may be rejected, or the original measures may be implemented immediately.
Addendum
These Terms and Conditions shall take effect on January 31, 2024.
